Engicon is taking an active role in advancing Oman’s Vision 2040 through the Sultan Haitham City - Public Schools Project, commissioned by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning (MoHUP). This project integrates the Munich Learning House concept, creating flexible, collaborative spaces that enrich learning and foster community engagement. The school is envisioned as a vibrant community hub, featuring accessible workshops, cafes, and multi-use sports fields.
As a sub-consultant to Ibn Khaldun Al Madaen Engineering Consultancy (IKAM), we are responsible for the detailed design and tendering of an innovative architectural concept developed by Köhler architekten + beratende ingenieure gmbh. Drawing on extensive regional expertise, Engicon delivers a full range of services in educational infrastructure. This includes educational spatial planning, site selection, environmental and social impact assessments (ESIAs), and the design development and supervision of educational facilities. Our expertise also spans structural and MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) design, environmental and traffic impact assessments, interior design, sustainability consulting, landscape design, and facility manuals and management guidelines.
This project integrates the Munich Learning House concept, creating flexible, collaborative spaces that enrich learning and foster community engagement. The school is envisioned as a vibrant community hub, featuring accessible workshops, cafes, and multi-use sports fields. Architectural elements such as wrap-around balconies and rooftop gardens enhance indoor-outdoor connectivity, supporting both learning and recreation. The semi-covered central playground serves as a vibrant gathering space, strategically located near key facilities. A well-planned traffic concept ensures safety by separating pedestrian, cycle, and vehicle routes.
Engicon remains dedicated to creating innovative, inclusive, and sustainable educational environments that benefit students and the wider community across Oman and beyond.
