Engicon was assigned to design the sewer network in Al Khisah, West Al Bandary Area, Lusail Sewage Treatment Works, Arab Centre for Policy & Research and Wadi Al Banat area as per updated policy plan and eventually connected to Lusial Sewage Treatment Plant through an existing Pumping Station.The Project area is divided for two main areas, the first one is located between west of Al Khor Expressway and east of Arab League street while the second area is located in Al Dafna area. The Project catchment area is approximately 22.0 hectares (ha). The existing sewerage system was constructed 22 years ago. The project area comprises of vacuum sewer network of 3200-meter (m) length. Also, it consists of 50 numbers of “Airvac” brand valves and controllers.

Currently, the network discharging into a vacuum pumping station (PS25/2A) with a capacity of 20 Liters per second. The existing vacuum sewer system is very old and life period of the system is exhausted. Public Works Authority – Operation and Maintenance Department is facing operational issues day by day. To overcome all these issues, the project initiated to convert the Existing vacuum system discharging to PS 25/2A to Gravity Network and to connect to the existing 1200mm diameter foul sewer network in Onaiza Street. Engicon’s Consultancy Design services include preparing project initiation report, concept design, preliminary design, detail design, tender BOQ/Drawings, tender procedure and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the foul sewerage system and trunk sewer required to service the needs of the ultimate development of the project area for the build-out scenario.
